Leading technology client’s site on Shortlist for "Oscars of the Internet"
Ramp Group, the company that helps businesses quickly transform innovative technology ideas into successful products that work right the first time, today announced that one of their client’s Websites has been nominated for Best in Service for a prestigious Webby Award. The Website was produced by Bellevue-based Ramp Group, which recently was named Service Provider of The Year by the Washington Technology Industry Association.
Redmond, Washington-based Concur, the world's leading provider of on-demand Employee Spend Management services, partnered with Ramp Group to take its online marketing and customer experience to the next level. Ramp Group created the company’s new impactful and highly usable Website, which focuses on delivering a holistic understanding of the client’s range of services. The site has successfully increased lead generation and sales, as well built an engaged user community.
"When it came time to evaluate our choices for a partner to help deliver a more dynamic online presence, Ramp Group stood apart from other service providers," said Michael Hilton, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Concur. "And when it came time to produce a site to match our vision, the Ramp team worked seamlessly with our in-house resources, enabling us to quickly develop and deliver a world-class, enhanced online experience."
Hailed as the "Oscars of the Internet" by the New York Times, The Webby Awards is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Websites, Interactive Advertising, Online Film & Video, and Mobile Websites. The awards are judged by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, a global organization that includes David Bowie, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson, AKQA Global Creative Director Rei Inamoto, "Simpsons" creator Matt Groening, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington, Real Networks CEO Rob Glaser, and The Weinstein Company's Harvey Weinstein.
The 12th Annual Webby Awards received nearly 10,000 entries from over 60 countries and all 50 states.
Concur’s Website is one of only five nominees for the Best in Service Webby Award. Winners will be announced on May 6, 2008, and honored at The 12th Annual Webby Awards in New York City on June 10th.
Working with Concur and their customers, Ramp Group re-evaluated Concur’s market positioning related to the Website including messaging, imagery and usability, and Ramp's UX team employed its end-to-end methodology to create an intuitive, useful and compelling Web experience.
As a nominee for a Webby Award, Concur’s Website is also eligible to win a People's Voice Award. People's Voice voting, sponsored by Nokia, is open to the public from April 8th to May 1st at http://pv.webbyawards.com.
