Ramp’s Bob Duffy to Serve at Major CIO Forum

Ramp Group partner Bob Duffy will join fellow technology dignitaries as a panelist for the Washington Technology Industry Association's 2008 CIO Forum.

This year's CIO Forum will explore the challenges, strategies and career needs of today's IT leaders. In addition to Duffy, the panel will include Lynnette A. Richmann, a partner with IT Advisory Services; Luke Friang, vice president and chief information officer at drugstore.com; Matthew Quinn, director of information technology at Medtronic, and Greg Wood, chief information security officer at Washington Mutual Bank.

The panel will explore key findings from the 2007/08 Harvey Nash-KPMG CIO Survey, which include:

  • More than half (54 percent) of all IT leaders report that they would entertain a call from a recruiter regarding a new job.
  • Some 25 percent of those seeking new jobs say they primarily want a "fresh challenge."
  • It seems that businesses understand the IT leaders' itch. Sixty-six percent of IT leaders report being satisfied with compensation.
  • Outsourcing and offshoring strategies are growing in sophistication.

The WTIA's highly-respected CIO Forum is attended by business leaders throughout the Pacific Northwest. It will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Westin Hotel in Seattle.
